I feel that the only answer for Nintendo is to go the way of Sega, and just become a third party developer. Can you imagine how many copies a Mario or Zelda game would sell on the current gen consoles?

@MasterCornholio, if I remember correctly, didn't the Xbox 360 have a E3 section about 6-7 years ago that had new demos of some of the games show up after they were announced?
My first thought was that they were trying to get ahead of any inevitable leaks. Now they can just hype footage for E3 for the next two weeks. My second thought? An intern found his/her way to their Twitter account and knew he could make millions of gamers weak in the knees. Third? Really? Uhh... Edward Snowden?
I really hope this sells well enough to get the attention of EA so that we get to play another Skate game. It might be a good investment to buy an ok skateboarding game to then be able to play Skate 3. I'm going to buy THPS 5 as if it were a Kickstarter for Skate 3, with the added fun of a (hopefully) decent Tony Hawk game.
Bingo! The arcade boom, as well as the introduction of the home console(Atari), in the late seventies/early eighties reflected the economy of the seventies, carnivals and fairgrounds saw a huge boom as a result of the stock market crash in the thirties.
